ANTIQUE 19/20th c QI’ING CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK CHAIR COVER FRAGMENT! On a red satin silk background material feature a crane medallion surrounded with bats, clouds in a. Shape, butterflies, flowers, and other Buddhist auspicious symbols. The embroidery executed in fine satin stitches using multi-colored silk threads. Lined with a pinkish linen lining. Extremely finely worked pieces- just look at the pictures! The piece measure: 40 1/8″ (101.6 cm) x 18.5″ (47 cm). Condition: good/ fair antique condition; staining to the silk material in spots, insignificant loss to the threads of the embroidery; loss to the second part (fringing on the place of the cut- see pictures). Use the pictures as a part o f the condition report! This embroidered fragment of a chair cover makes a beau tiful display and will be a valuable addition to any collection!
