2 ANTIQUE QI’ING 19TH c CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK PANELS W. 2 beautiful antique late 18th/ early 19th century Qi’ing dynasty Chinese embroidered panel featuring Immortals. On a light bronze silk material features intricately embroidered figures of male Immortals surrounded with flowers, bamboo trees, and clouds in ruyi form. Worked in fine satin stitches using bright multi- colored silk threads. Framed and covered with glass; can’t be removed from the frames due to extreme fragility of the silk. The embroidery of the Immortal wearing a hat measures 54.6 (21.5″) cm x 53.3 cm (21″) (together with the frame); the view itself is 33 cm (13″) x 31.4 cm'(12.4″). The second embroidery of the Immortal in a blue robe measures 57.2 cm (22.52″) x 47 cm (18.5″) (together with the frame); the view itself is 34.4 cm (13.5″) x 26.7 cm (10.5″). Condition: fair condition; mostly damages to the silk background material. Insignificant losses to the threads of the embroidery (see pictures).
