18th Century Embroidery Silk Needlework Georgian Circa 1780s
This is a lovely old survivor from the 18th Century. It is a silk embroidery or needlework of a beautiful Georgian young lady most likely done in the mid to late 1700s. It has a few age issues like broken threads, bits that have fallen off or been eaten, overall you can see it has come through well. The subject matter is desirable, the colours are still good and dainty. The frame too is old and gives it more appeal. The face, hands and feet of the woman are painted on paper from what I can tell.
