BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE LATE 19th/ EARLY 20th c QI’ING DYNASTY CHINEDE EMBROIDERED SILK WOMEN SHORT ROBE/ JACKET! The robe sewn out of a black silk material, finely embroidered in bright multi- colored threads using forbidden stitches (Peking knot). The white silk borders embroidered in satin stitches using mostly blue color silk threads. The embroidery features butterflies, flowers, auspicious fruits, and vessels. Lined with a salmon color damask silk lining, woven with flowers. The robe measures 25.5 (65 cm) long. WHAT A RARE AND BEAUTIFUL PIECE!
