Magnificently Embroidered 1700s Man’s Silk Waistcoat Very Fragile
The meticulous embroidery on this waistcoat is the object of great admiration. Even the buttons have not evaded a deft hand. The front has a spray of delicate lace peeking out behind the buttons. Well over 200 years old, the silk is unfortunately splitting in a number of areas, so its best future would be under glass to be preserved and shared with generations to come. It is certainly worthy of a place reserved for serious art. Almost all the items I list are antique or vintage. I always try to point out the flaws but it is also to be assumed that unless it says “mint” that there will be signs of age. I try to answer same day as received and I’m friendly. I hope you will visit me often as I will attempt to add things frequently. I know I have things that will work for millinery, doll clothes, clothing design, handbags, fabric design reference and lamp shades among many more.
